During the operation of a crane without SLI, the operator to
manually estimate the weight. Most of the time these rough estimations result
in handling issues or crane can be put into very high risk of overloading. To
manage these issues, cranes are equipped with SLI system which monitors the
lifted load in closed loop control and restrict the trolley movement beyond the
